In accordance with the phased program for the development, implementation, and certification of the Quality Management System in compliance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2000, approved on 19 September 2002 by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, our enterprise has developed, implemented, and certified a quality management system. The implementation work began in 2005 and was completed at the end of 2006. The system was certified in 2007 by the internationally recognized Certification Body TUV SERT (Germany), with the participation of auditors from LLC “SERT MANAGEMENT”.
The presence of a certified Quality Management System significantly enhances the company's authority, as competent management — particularly a certified management system — is increasingly becoming one of the essential requirements in global business partnership practice.
Before the implementation of the QMS, only two types of products — urea and ammonium nitrate — were certified at the enterprise. After the QMS was introduced at JSC “Farg‘onaazot”, the geography of mineral fertilizer exports significantly expanded to not only neighboring but also distant foreign countries. For example, in 2007–2008 products were exported to Russia and Kazakhstan. In 2015 exports covered 15 countries: Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, UAE, Korea, Iran, the Philippines, Turkey, Lithuania, Moldova, Kenya, Cameroon, Sri Lanka, and Japan.
In 2008, a new version of the ISO 9001:2008 standard was released. Additionally, with the growing importance of environmental protection initiatives and organizations, the management of the enterprise decided to develop and implement an integrated management system (IMS) combining two systems:
– Quality Management System (QMS) according to ISO 9001:2008,
– Environmental Management System (EMS) according to ISO 14001:2004.
Based on the experience of operating the QMS, the enterprise developed and implemented an Integrated Management System in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 international standards. The work began in December 2009 and was completed in 2010 with successful certification by TUV SERT (Germany), with the participation of auditors from LLC “SERT MANAGEMENT”.
The implementation of the EMS made it possible to manage environmental indicators and impacts more flexibly and effectively. The enterprise’s reputation increased, and environmental improvement measures — for example, planting greenery — were strengthened.
Integrating the systems into a single structure made it possible to reduce the total amount of documentation and avoid duplication of many documents and records. Achieving this with two separate systems would be difficult or even impossible.
At the 6th annual Russian conference “Ecology and Production. Prospects for the Development of Economic Mechanisms for Environmental Protection”, organized by an independent public council, our enterprise received the “European Quality — Gold Medal” in the category “Best Enterprise in Ecology and Environmental Management”.
— The Chairman of the Board was awarded the “Ecologist of the Year 2012” title.
— Surveillance audits confirmed the validity of the certificates.
Currently, preparations are underway to transition the QMS to the new version of the ISO 9001:2015 standard. Implementation will begin in September 2015 after the official release of the standard.
In addition, in accordance with the international standard ISO 50001:2011, JSC “Farg‘onaazot” must implement an Energy Management System by the end of 2016.
Based on the above, the management decided to develop and integrate the Energy Management System into the existing IMS. The system was developed, implemented, and certified. In August 2016 the certification body “Sert international” conducted a certification audit of all three management systems. Based on the audit results, the issuance of certificates was recommended, and the certificates were obtained.
In 2025, from September 8 to 12, a certification audit was conducted by the certification body LLC “MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATION”. Based on the audit results, international Greek certificates — Q CERT — were issued.
As of today, JSC “Farg‘onaazot” has developed, implemented, and maintains an Integrated Management System that includes:
– Quality Management System — ISO 9001:2015
– Environmental Management System — ISO 14001:2015
– Energy Management System — ISO 50001:2011
The Integrated Management System applies to the production of mineral fertilizers and defoliants.
